Peter Johnson graduated from St. Mary's College and then became a graduate of Golden Gate University, School of Law, in 1992. He opened his practice immediately in Pittsburg, California and has been practicing there since 1993.

He focuses his work in the areas of DUI defense, Criminal Defense, and Civil Rights. He has excelled as a trial attorney winning trials in State and Federal Courts throughout the State of California.

Mr. Johnson has been called a "REAL LAWYER" following a trial before a renowned United States District Court Judge from the Northern District of California and is said to have "SHOOK THE FOUNDATION" of a local police department by a Magistrate Judge following a trial before him in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.

Mr. Johnson currently serves President of the Criminal Law Section as well as a member of the Labor Law Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He has an excellent win rate in Drunk Driving cases. He is a member of the National College of DUI Defense and the California DUI Lawyers Association, and has attended prestigious conferences throughout the country dealing with issues related to DUI defense, Criminal Defense, and Civil Rights.
